The app

Onionskin collects nothing. It has no analytics, no tracking, and no account. Your drawings and markups live in files on your Mac and are never sent anywhere.

Update checks

When the app checks for updates (with your permission, using the standard Sparkle framework), it requests a small file from our server. Like any web request, that involves your IP address, and it includes the app version so the right update can be offered. Nothing about you or your documents is sent, and we do not keep a record of who checked.

This website

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics scripts. Our hosting provider may keep ordinary server logs (IP address, page requested, time) to run the service.

Purchases

When purchasing becomes available, payment will be handled by a payment provider acting as the seller; they will process your payment details and email address under their own privacy policy, and we will update this page to name them. We never see card numbers.

Questions

This policy is deliberately short because the honest answer is short: the app does not collect your data.
